We're open every day in northwest Aurora on the border of Denver's Central Park neighborhood, and we're worth a visit (if we do say so ourselves).
Stanley Aviation sits right by the site of the original Denver airport's main runway. The doors of our event center open onto what used to be a smaller runway just for Stanley, where Bob Stanley and Stanley test planes took off and landed.
Under Bob Stanley's leadership, Stanley Aviation designed and produced a series of innovative and revolutionary airplane ejection seats, including an escape capsule for the B-58 Hustler, which could successfully be deployed at an altitude of 70,000 feet at speeds up to Mach 2. Bob Stanley borrowed live bears from the Denver Zoo to successfully test the capsule.
Aurora is the third largest city in Colorado and one of the most diverse cities in America. With more than 100 parks and 6,000 acres of open space and natural areas, it's also won recognition for its healthy and active population. The northwest Aurora neighborhood surrounding Stanley is undergoing a revitalization and renaissance we're honored to be a part of.
