Food Hall Donation Drive Supporting Village Exchange Center
Six Denver metro food and market halls are joining forces to raise funds and collect donations for local food banks during a critical time, as the federal government's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) has been suspended, affecting over 600,000 Coloradans, half of whom are children.
A collection bin has been placed near the SE entrance of Stanley Marketplace. With food banks facing dwindling supplies and increased demand, your donations are more crucial than ever.
About Village Exchange Center (VEC)
The Village Exchange Center Village Pantry is a culturally responsive, market-style food pantry serving immigrants, refugees, and food-insecure families across the greater Denver metro area. Their clients represent 42 countries and face compounded barriers due to immigration status, language access, and systemic inequities.
Current Impact: Village Pantry serves an average of 700 families (2,800 individuals) weekly. With SNAP benefits suspended, they are adding an additional pantry day and anticipate doubling their impact to serve 1,400 families each week until this emergency ends.
