Celebrating a James Beard Award® Semifinalist at Stanley Marketplace
We’re thrilled to share that Tommy Lee has been named a 2026 James Beard Award® Semifinalist for Outstanding Restaurateur, recognized for his incredible work with Uncle, Hop Alley, and Molino Chido (located in Stanley Marketplace).
The James Beard Awards®, presented by Capital One, are considered the highest honor in American cuisine, celebrating the chefs and restaurateurs shaping how—and what—we eat across the country. Since 1990, the awards have spotlighted leaders who define the breadth of American culinary excellence, and this year’s semifinalists are among the very best.
We’re especially proud that Molino Chido, the latest concept from Tommy Lee and Michael Diaz de Leon, has chosen Stanley Marketplace as its home. Welcoming such nationally recognized culinary talent into our community is a true honor and reflects the creativity, craftsmanship, and passion that define both Molino Chido and Stanley Marketplace.
Restaurant and Chef Award nominees will be announced on Tuesday, March 31, with winners celebrated at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards Ceremony on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
