General Manager, Sports Card Shop
Replay Sports Cards will be opening in Stanley Marketplace in November 2025.
The Replay Sports Card Shop General Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the shop’s day-to-day operations, ensuring a smooth and profitable business. This includes overseeing staff, inventory, customer relationships, marketing, and sales strategies. The manager should have extensive knowledge of the sports card market, excellent customer service skills, and strong business acumen.
Expected Hours: 45-55 hours per week including weekends
Key Responsibilities:
Shop Operations & Management:
Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring an efficient, clean, and organized environment.
Manage opening, midday and closing procedures, including that daily checklists are completed every day.
Monitor shop performance metrics, including sales, shop break-even, profitability (P&L), and customer satisfaction.
Staff Supervision & Development:
Recruit, hire, train, and manage shop employees.
Create employee schedules, oversee task assignments, and manage performance evaluations.
Uphold, follow and ensure the adherence of our formal uniform policy.
Foster a positive work environment and provide coaching to enhance sales techniques and product knowledge.
Customer Service & Sales:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including collectors and casual buyers.
Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction through quality service and product offerings.
Assist customers with grading, card purchases, trade-ins, and other card related needs.
Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
Inventory & Merchandising:
Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels for sports cards and supplies.
Handle ordering and receiving shipments, including restocking shelves and organizing storage areas.
Identify market trends and adjust product offerings accordingly.
Implement attractive shop displays and merchandising to maximize sales.
Oversee PSA; intake, preparing cards, updating PSA log, submissions, contact and distribution to customer, payment status and invoice tracking, etc.
Manage the shop's uniform inventory to ensure all staff have the appropriate attire. Responsibilities include tracking uniform stock, maintaining records of employee sizes, and promptly notifying management when reorders are needed.
Sales & Marketing Strategy:
Develop and implement sales strategies to increase shop profitability.
Plan promotional activities, in-shop events, and marketing campaigns, including social media engagement.
Collaborate with local collectors and sports card communities to boost foot traffic.
Monitor the secondary market to adjust pricing strategies and promotions.
Financial Management:
Manage shop budget, expenses, and sales targets.
Monitor cash flow, process payments, and handle daily financial reporting.
Analyze financial performance and develop action plans to address issues.
Industry Knowledge:
Stay updated on sports card market trends, pricing guides, and value fluctuations.
Engage in continuous learning about sports card brands, players, and market shifts.
Replay Give Back:
Manage all aspects of the donations program, including communication with beneficiary organizations.
Maintain accurate records of donated cards, including quantities, types, and intended recipients.
Ensure donated cards are kept organized and stored properly until shipment or delivery.
Oversee timely packaging and preparation of donations to meet partner deadlines.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
