Owner Sarah Schreiber opened Friend Assembly to create an inclusive, accessible space where people of all ages and skill levels can connect through clay. A former elementary art teacher and lifelong ceramicist, Sarah blends creativity and community in every class and open studio. Her first pottery line was called Faceplanters (little pots with faces on them) and when there were too many orders to fulfill, her family and friends stepped in to help “assemble” them, and from there came the name Friend Assembly. A group of little clay friends being assembled by real friends, inspired by and for friends. Friend Assembly is all about connection—and welcoming anyone curious to create.
